For more than 30 years, Hamels Fabrics has been part of the quilting, sewing, and creative community in British Columbia. Today, Hamels Fabrics proudly serves quilters, sewists, makers, and fibre artists across Canada from our home base in Prince George, British Columbia. Our Story

Hamels Fabrics was built on a love of fabric, colour, craft, and community.

Over the past three decades, the shop has grown through many seasons of change. From its early days as a local fabric store to its current online presence, Hamels has continued to adapt while staying true to the heart of the business: helping creative people bring their ideas to life.

The quilting and sewing world has changed significantly over the last 30 years. Fabric sold by the metre

At Hamels Fabrics, fabric is sold by the metre, with a minimum cut of 0.5 metre unless otherwise stated.

This makes it easy to order fabric for quilts, borders, binding, backing, bags, crafts, and other sewing projects. Product pages include available quantities and ordering details so you can choose the amount that works for your project.
