CLASSES

Our classes range from a beginner quilting program to art quilts, with a variety of quilting techniques workshops in between. You can learn quiltmaking styles like Stack-n-Whack®, stained glass and portraiture, as well as take rug hooking and rug braiding lessons, and make a new purse, too!

Our roster of quilting teachers includes well-known visitors and local stars, including several members of our knowledgeable staff. Visit the shop to meet Linda Bitterman and Janet Crabe and find out what's coming up on the class calendar. We frequently offer classes by Sharon Grainer and Marla Pinchin, and enjoy hosting workshops by Liz Faminoff several times each year.

Hamels Fabrics has been known to bring in names such as Judy Neimeyer who is world famous for her stunning style of paper pieced quilting.

As with any move, you need a stagging area and our new classroom has worked out great. Soon all the clutter will be put in its place and the new classroom will be ready for the class season. We can hardly wait to begin! Check back soon for updated photographs.

Class Policies

• Class fee is required at time of registration.
• Phone registrations are accepted with Mastercard or Visa. (We also take Money Orders and registered cheques)
• Registration fees are refundable up to 10 days prior to the class. After that time, registration fees are non-refundable.
• Class fees do not include patterns or supplies, unless otherwise stated. Please obtain a supply list prior to your class and read it completely so you can come to class prepared with everything you'll need.
• If you have any questions that we are unable to answer, we will be happy to put you in touch with the instructor.
• We ask that you purchase your supplies at our shop, so that we may continue to offer classes as one of our services.
